Kenneth Max Lewis

 From morning sickness, to a partial placenta abruption, to a breech baby that was successfully turned, to an induction after going a week past due date - Kenny is truly unique to us!  Although, he still looks like Payson & Daddy!  He is so sweet and we love having a baby again!  Even Payson just adores him.

Born October 5th @ 4:39am.    7lbs 10oz  & 18.5 inches.

The labor went well. Corbin was born less than an hour and 1/2 after Janeen went into labor.  He did decide to come out sunny side up so the delivery was a little difficult.  He has been a very good baby so far and the other kids love him.

Jensen Baby

 On Sept. 29 I went to my doctor for an ultrasound.  She discovered that the fluid levels around the baby were really low.  My level was a 4 and normal is 10-12.  The plan was to keep me over night at the hospital with an I.V. and drinking lots of fluid.  If my levels increased I would go home and be on bed rest for a week, if they did not increase I would be induced the following day.  The next morning my levels were 5.3, I would be having a baby on Oct.1, (due date was Oct. 18).  The pitocin started at 11am.  My doctor finally came at 4pm to break my water which finally threw me into full labor and the baby was born at 6:28pm.  He weighed 5 lbs. 14.9 oz. and was 19.5 in.  He was completely healthy which was a blessing because the umbilical cord was short and also the placenta did not look very good.  We chose to name him Andrew Tate Jensen.  He is such a good baby and I have enjoyed him the most of all my children at this age.  Xander & Kaysha love him so much and help me take care of him and love him.

The Grow Box

Hi all you  gardeners out there!   Autumn and cooler weather are finally here, and that means we can get back to those gardens.  I hope you didn’t pull everything out!   The tomatoes, squash and melons will keep growing and producing for another couple of months!  This is the glory time for peppers and eggplant.  And now is a great time to plant cool weather crops.  Peas, Swiss Chard, Spinach, Lettuce, Carrots, Garlic, Onions, Kohl Rabi, and many other cool weather crops will grow through the winter months here, giving you year-round gardening.  It’s a great time to be outside, its therapeutic, and it follows counsel of our Prophets.  So let’s get going again!
